Fox News is calling it "Democrat Owens Wins Race for New York's 23rd Congressional District" now the question is why did we lose this Congressional District? Well in the end it is GOP leadership. They supported a horrible candidate in Scozzafava and when it became clear just how bad and wrong this Candidate was they just doubled down on her. It wasn't until just a few days before the elections that the "Republican" Candidate showed her true colors and endorsed the Democrat. We have seen this before in fact it bring back memory's of CD-1 in Maryland.
Of curse there will be people who will blame this defeat on the Conservative's. The fact is that if they had ran a solid Republican in the 1st place this district would still be in Republican hand. We need to do something about the moderates that are in charge of the Republican Party.
