"Going Green" Means More Ways to Separate You from the Green in Your Pocket

Another lesson from the liberal playbook, "Utilities to Add Conservation Fees: Regulators OK Plan to Subsidize Initiative Aimed at Reducing Energy Use," Baltimore Sun, 1 January 2009, by Gadi Dechter:

Maryland consumers will begin paying small monthly fees on electric bills this year to subsidize an ambitious energy-conservation initiative, under plans approved by resulators yesterday.

Change the Government Can Believe In

So in the United Kingdom, if a British "Joe the Plumber" wants to better himself and his family, he had better be prepared to give the government their "fair share." From The Independent, 22 December, 2008:

As New York Goes, So May We

Just in case you were worried that the government didn't get it that it's a tough economy out there for all of us, here's a quick reminder: they don't. Proof in point, it seems like the "Republican" Mayor Bloomberg is once again going to the well to take another dip out of the pockets of the hard working people of New York City. From the New York Times, 19 December:

An American Carol - I so want to see this movie.

A review over at say anything blog cover the new movie An American Carol it looks really funny. Here are some excerpts:

Inspired by Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, where the miser Scrooge is taught the true meaning of Christmas by the visitation of three spirits, David Zucker of “Airplane!” and Naked Gun movie fame, takes on the story of left wing filmmaker Michael Malone, a Michael Moore lookalike, who wants to abolish the Fourth of July.

The left appear to have no bounds.

"A despicable smear against Sarah Palin with absolutely no basis in reality and no evidence to back it up." I couldn't have said that better myself. Every time I think the left can't go any lower they find a way to go even lower.

Disgusting smear of the day: Sarah Palin molests teenage boys - Right Wing News (Conservative News and Views)

The best line in whole story is "Should there also be a limit on the taxes government can take? Just who's the profiteer here?" It does a pretty good job of going over the differences of the two presidential candidates views but it also seems to cover the differences between the two party's as well.

What's On The Menu

This is revealing on so many levels. From the Washington Post, 9 June, “Senate Votes to Privatize Its Failing Restaurants:”

“Year after year, decade upon decade, the U.S. Senate's network of restaurants has lost staggering amounts of money -- more than $18 million since 1993, according to one report, and an estimated $2 million this year alone, according to another.”

Dead Rise to Register as Democrats

Why are all the Dead Voter Democrats? Is that a requirement to become the walking dead that you must be a Democrat?

It has long been noted that conservatives are happier people than liberals

Studies like this don't help much though.  Most Conservatives already new this and most Liberal don't care about fact only care about how they feel and will clam x and y is wrong with the study.  Just like they say that steal doesn't melt.  They will come up with some weird way to frame the study and make it untrue.

So That's Why Andy Harris Won...

During the last primary cycle Andy Harris beat long-time political Wayne Gilchrest in Maryland’s First Congressional. I thought Andy won because he got more votes. Fortunately, the Baltimore Sun set me straight.
