Just in case you were worried that the government didn't get it that it's a tough economy out there for all of us, here's a quick reminder: they don't. Proof in point, it seems like the "Republican" Mayor Bloomberg is once again going to the well to take another dip out of the pockets of the hard working people of New York City. A review over at say anything blog cover the new movie An American Carol it looks really funny. Here are some excerpts:

Inspired by Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, where the miser Scrooge is taught the true meaning of Christmas by the visitation of three spirits, David Zucker of “Airplane!” and Naked Gun movie fame, takes on the story of left wing filmmaker Michael Malone, a Michael Moore lookalike, who wants to abolish the Fourth of July.

The left appear to have no bounds.

"A despicable smear against Sarah Palin with absolutely no basis in reality and no evidence to back it up." I couldn't have said that better myself. Every time I think the left can't go any lower they find a way to go even lower.

The best line in whole story is "Should there also be a limit on the taxes government can take? Just who's the profiteer here?" It does a pretty good job of going over the differences of the two presidential candidates views but it also seems to cover the differences between the two party's as well.

This is revealing on so many levels. From the Washington Post, 9 June, “Senate Votes to Privatize Its Failing Restaurants:”

“Year after year, decade upon decade, the U.S. Senate's network of restaurants has lost staggering amounts of money -- more than $18 million since 1993, according to one report, and an estimated $2 million this year alone, according to another.”

Studies like this don't help much though.  Most Conservatives already new this and most Liberal don't care about fact only care about how they feel and will clam x and y is wrong with the study.  Just like they say that steal doesn't melt.  They will come up with some weird way to frame the study and make it untrue.

During the last primary cycle Andy Harris beat long-time political Wayne Gilchrest in Maryland’s First Congressional. I thought Andy won because he got more votes. Fortunately, the Baltimore Sun set me straight.
