State of The Race - This Weeks Polling

Anyone who has been following the polls knows that McCain is currently on top overall all and several states have switched from toss up to leaning Republican and that is without factoring in the Bradly Effect. This is good news overall but personally I think this election is going to come down to Colorado. Maybe things will changes who know if you had asked me a year ago it was going to be John McCain I would have laughed at you. I find it strange that I am seeing ad's for McCain and Obama on TV in the Baltimore area that is unexpected. It is either part of a national buy or something in the polling is putting Maryland into play we don't get to see the internal polling that stuff tends to be more accurate. My guess is it is just part of a national buy but you never know.

Here is a new ad by McCain we can see were the McCain campaign is going. He is running as an outsider. The fact is most Republican's agree since we have disagreed with him on several issues.

I can understand were John Hawkins is coming from I had decided to vote for John McCain some time ago not because I like him but because he is better then Barack Obama. Also like John I am excited with Sarah Palin pick as VP. I found his whole article a worth while reading especially if you are not sure yet if you are ready to support McCain or not.

Gallup show McCain doing better then Obama and Rasmussen shows a dead heat but Rasmussen first post McCain speech wont be released until Monday. If they also show the same kinda numbers as well this can really change how thing are viewed in this election. Now the question is will this help other Republican's running for office or just specif to McCain.

Update: It looks like I was right. Rasmussen flipped from Obama up by 1 to 2% on McCain now McCain is up by 1 to 2% not much but it also shows the same trend as Gallup. The trend is McCain gaining strength. That isn't good for the Democrats on a year were they would have really screwed up to lose. it looks like they did.

I heard pundits talking about how McCain has no change of winning yet Obama can't get above 50%. This race has been in a tie for months. It is turning into a horse race and in the end will more then likely comes down to who has the better turnout in a few key states.

McCain Military Record is inspirational to say the least. I can understand Dean not liking the fact that McCain is out there talking about his Military Record something that almost no one can disagree with. This also really contrasts the Democrats who are tiering themselves apart.
