Trip to the old ballyard

Last night the Orioles brought back the 1983 World Series Championship team. I was there stuck in the rain in the upper deck when the rains came. We, where under the cover up there then rain blasted in behind us, front of us and each side. I mean it came. We where stuck in the tunnel person to person when these drunks came in and where rude and obnoxious scaring kids and pissed off fathers.

Steve McNair to retire

Posted in

Today Baltimore Ravens QB will hold a press conference to announce he is ending his NFL playing career. McNair whom is best known for playing for the Tennessee Titans/Houston Oilers, made it to one Super Bowl and has one MVP on his resume.
McNair's plans come as a shock to some fans but one would suspect the Ravens where not kept in the dark on this. McNair has been recovering from multiple injuries and may have though this is the best time to step down for good. McNair has sustained many very brutal injuries over the years including a bruised spleen while with the Titans. This guy is a sports medicine photo chart on the wall and some would say a miracle if his injuries where to happen 20 years back.
McNair gave it his all and played through pain and adversity over the years. Every time you thought he was down and out he would pop back up. McNair was the QB for the Titans after a different type of move from Houston. McNair also showed everyone he was a good leader when he came to the Ravens and led the Ravens to a 13-3 finish in the 2006-2007.

Orioles off to Nice Start of project

6-1 sounds good right but the focus must stay on the project. The L's will start up soon but as long as they keep the task at hand to build that farm and keep guys at the correct Levels so the farm gets well stocked unlike years past. A good team that is 10 games over 500 come July1st has a well stocked Farm system and not used bums or over hyped talent at the High A,AA and AAA levels.

Well the NASCAR Winston, I mean Nextel, I mean Sprint Cup season is about to get underway. If John McCain is smart he will show up at some 2008 season events. Many, many Red State voters will be attending 2008 races. Most endorsements for office are little if they have any affect at all but one endorsement that could throw that could lock up the Red States and by the way looks like NASCAR nation on a map is Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale Earnhardt Jr is the son of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. The Earnhardt's have a big time following and these people would do just about anything a Earnhardt reccomends. We are talking a few million people.
